Dr. Alan Norio Oki, MD

When I made my appointment I informed the staff that Test results had shown something acute that needed further blood tests done by a certain date. As it was I couldn't get the appointment for over 2 months which was already too late but what could I do? So I made the appointment. A week before my appointment the office called, I'm assuming to give me a courtesy call as they didn't leave a message ( only by phoning back did I discover it was their office). I rang twice leaving my number and details in case they wanted to contact me again. I rang on appointment day to double check that it was to be held at the Honolulu office and low and behold the girl told me they cancelled!! When I asked how can you cancel an appointment without letting me know or checking with me especially an appointment I'd booked so far in advance and was scared of anyway!! She said they cancel if I don't confirm because too many people no show!! Now why wasn't I told I had to confirm? Why when I… rang back did they not ring me back? So the girl said she would ring them to see if they could get me in and get straight back to me. We'll after waiting over an hour I rang back to see if I needed to get there and she said no they can't see me!! Then she said they had told my General DR that they were canceling. I phoned my DR. And found out they had never contacted her. So needless to say I will never recommend DR Alan OKE.

Dr. Oki is very committed to providing the best care to his patients. He is expert in his knowledge of diseases and their treatments. He will rely on his patients to speak up and share information about their symptoms, and will work with you as a team. Excellent doctor

I had suffered with pain for many months. It took forever to get my first appointment but I was cured in a few weeks. He was excellent in his evaluation and diagnosis. Everyone says, "Wow how did you get accepted as a patient with him; he is the best in the field." Thank you so much Dr Oki. His staff was also excellent in working through the nightmare of insurance.

You are risking your life if you choose to go to this arrogant, uncaring, unprofessional, racist doctor. He needs his license revoked. You could easily end up with more health problems after being "under his care" than when you first sought his help as a doctor. He has no business treating patients.

Dr. Oki's field encompasses some very difficult diagnoses and treatments but he remains compassionate and patient in his discussions. Dr. Oki has provided me with diagnoses on conditions which aren't accepted by all physicians, i.e. Fibromyalgia, and excellent care. I would and have recommended him.

It would be hard to find a more dedicated and caring internist. He took a very personal interest in my medical conditions and kept me going for years longer than anyone expected.
