Dr. Alan J Ravitz, MD

I do not write this review lightly. My concerns with Dr. Alan Ravitz are not about disagreeing with a forensic outcome, but about repeated factual inconsistencies, omissions, and representations that I believe materially distorted the reality of his report. There were numerous instances where statements and evidence were, in my opinion, altered, exaggerated, selectively presented, or omitted in ways that consistently supported one narrative while undermining another. Collectively, these issues caused me to lose confidence in the integrity of the evaluation process. If others have had similar experiences involving factual inconsistencies, omissions, or concerns regarding the handling of evidence in evaluations conducted by Dr. Ravitz, please reach out.

If my child dies, blood will be on this man's hands. He labeled me a liar when I told him the absolute truth. Because of his erroneous and ludicrous "opinions" my child has been forced to spend time with an abuser. He sided with who paid him and regurgitated what was said, then claimed I was lying. He was easily manipulated by a very sick person and was more than happy to try to discredit me. My child's destroyed body and soul is proof I was telling the truth. He needs to be exposed.

He continually misses due dates on custody reports, then has the temerity to ask for more money. His report is nothing more than his notes typed up, and even the events he was supposedly noting are incorrect in their details. You'd be better off hiring a sound recorder. He displays clear bias and will only ask questions that support the other person's point of view and will twist whatever you say to fit what I can only guess is the person who's paying him off behind the scenes. This so-called doctor should be stripped of his license and arrested for fraud and malfeasance. He is a pox on society.

Dr. Ravitz spends most of his time in forensic psychiatry, ie. getting paid exorbitant amounts of money for writing bogus reports on parental custody in divorce proceedings. Yes, he makes money on the misery and breakup of families. He usually writes reports not based on fact but always in favor of the parent that is miserable and vindictive, the parent that is paying his salary. Dr. Alan Ravitz is unfit to be a doctor, any kind of doctor, because he is not fair, he is lazy, and he has no empathy for anyone, including the children who are caught in the middle of the divorce.

We spend over $7,000 for him do do a custody evaluation and all he did was take notes and repeat them word for word in the report. Besides for the $600 an hour to take the notes, he charged another $3000 just to "write" the report. He never bothers getting to the underlying issues, he's just a scam artist who really does nothing more than "copy and paste"

This doctor has no care or interest in children. He has no heart and no skills in the area he chooses to call his "job". Hes very good at writing down exactly what his clients tell him and he calls that his REPORT! HA! NEVER NEVER USE THIS DOCTOR. He is narcistic freak and would greatly benefit from the medication he so freely administers to his young clients. What a wast of time.

Dr. Ravitz is unique at caring , and his bedside manner is excellant .

DO NOT USE for any child custody evaluation...he is clueless as far as the child's best interest. Would not recommend.

I strongly urge caution when using this physician. Dr Ravitz does not and will never take hard positions to confront serious mental health issues with his patients. He prefers to be an outsider giving generic advice and nothing more. He will even admit to falsifying a psychiatric report simply to avoid confronting the mental health issues of his patients.
