Dr. Shin has been my youngest pediatrician since she’s was born! He’s always been extremely thorough in his exams, isn’t rushed and answers any & all questions I have (which are several) and if there is a concern he will call you directly and is determined to diagnose a child correctly. I’m glad he’s stayed around in my area so he can continue to be daughters pediatrician. I would and have recommended him to friends/family.

Dr. Shih misdiagnoses my son with Scoliosis! My son DOES NOT have Scoliosis. I did get further testing and another doctor to check this. Pisses me off doctors just misdiagnose and don't get held accountable for it. People's lives, health, and care are not a game or a joke! I almost died do to a misdiagnosis 3 yeas ago by another doctor in Palm Springs. That doctor was not held accountable. It's shameful and disgusting how doctors get away with so much! Quick at visits, doesn't really listen to concerns, doesn't like to give meds, did a "male" exam on my son without telling me he was going to do it. My son was 15. I feel as a minor, he should have asked me if he could do that or at least inform me of what was going to happen so I could talk to my son about it first. This was all at the Yucca Valley office.

My child has been seeing him for approximately 8 to 9 years. He is a proficient, and professional doctor.

Dr. Shih is very knowledgeable and caring. He gives his full attention at every appt. He covers everything, if I forget to ask something he will go over it anyway. And he always manages to pronounce my daughters unusual name. As other people have said, he often returns calls within an hour. If there is ever a wait, you know you'll still get your full time.

So knowledgeable, will spend as much time with you as you need, gives you all the options and refers you only to the best. We drive over an hour to see him and would never think of changing!

I've been seeing Alan Shih since I was in high school. He was recommended to my sister because of his offices connection with CHOC hospital. He is an amazing Doctor (I would not keep going back to him almost 7 years later if he wasn't), and really gets to know his patients and provide them the best care I've had from any Doctor.

Have been taking my toddler since he has born in 09 and are now also taking our newest little one. Dr. Shih makes every effort to make child and parents comfortable. He is extremely dedicated to his profession

I came from a beverly hills office and it pales in comparison to Dr. Shih!!! My word!! He is AMAAAAAZING!!!!! He is sooooo kind, compassionate and knowledgable!!!!! He will ease your fears!!!! Such a wonderful doctor for my baby I couldn't recommend him enough!!!!! :)

Best and most caring Doctor ever!! He takes his time and goes the extra mile for his patients. Kept office open a few minutes late on Friday as I tried to find the new location. Excellent staff as well.
