If I could give no stars I would. Never actually even seen the Psychiatrist and have been going to the office for over 8 months with a family member who has special needs and suffers from obsessive compulsive issues. We have only met with the Social Worker and the Nurse Practioner who writes the prescriptions. Constant appt cancellations (including within an hour of an appt confirmed the day before) and attempts to change appointments to virtual appts at the last minute. Office is a scam, do yourself a favor and find a real psychiatrist.

I’m so happy I saw the google reviewsAnd this site! I too think this place is a disgrace! I truly feel my Nurse Anne was truly trying to help me; then Liz and Dr Siegal get involved without knowing me from Adam,not knowing what my situation is in my life ,and what Anne and I discuss- I’m sure Liz and the “Dr.” did not check Anne’s notes about me before they accused me of being a liar and a junkie (yes! That’s how Liz made me feel and how she spoke to me!). Liz proceeds to tell me that I am most certainly not getting a refill early and I’m being flagged with the office, pharmacy and state of ct for trying to get scripts filled early! (I lost my controlled script in Feb 2019 and then again last week Nov 2019. BTW-these meds are supposed to help me not be a scatter brain) needless to say I was taken aback;very confused. I told Liz we’ll since you are not refilling my lost script I guess I really don’t need the meds that your office suggested I take and I do not want the medication… going further; since you think I should “suffer” through the next few weeks I think I might as well “ suffer” through it all and never be bothered with your “ controlled” scripts ever again. (This is where I can see why millions of people do not seek mental health help) I am so appalled, embarrassed and angry! How dare these people think they can treat us like this?! The lack of respect for us mental health patients is disgusting to say the least!! (Btw ,I asked Liz to have Anne call me today and I still haven’t heard back) One good thing is coming out of this; I’ve decided to write to Rosa DeLauro regarding the stigma that is placed on mental health patients; and no wonder people do not seek help. In the wake of yet another school shooting,I think this is a perfect time to bring this particular topic up with our state rep.

Horrible and humiliating experience. Heidi made up her mind about me and did not listen at all Dr Seigel came in for 4 minutes and said he didn't care if I had a seizure due to lack of clonazepam He would not risk his license on me. I requested he help me get off clonazepam and refused. I am 65 and have been legally prescribed 4 mg for 20 years ! Heidi convinced him I was drug seeking and stopped listening as soon as she saw I was on clonazepam. I left in tears when she accused me of wasting my PhD in chemistry to become a JD. I tried explaining I was a Senior Patent Attorney for over 20 years and required science degree to become barred as a patent attorney. She accused me of lying. She should be fired for lack of knowledge. I am starting an investigation.

I cannot stress how awful the office staff is at this practice. They are rude and they will not budge from their "rules". They tried to impose a fee for calling in a prior approval to your insurance company, Liz should not be employed and they trashed on of their clinicians to me...mind you that clinicians is the only good thing going for them

I was a patient for years. Went there for Dr. Siegel. I was late for an appt. which I called about. Arrived 15 min late. Front desk said “I told you we couldn’t see you if you were more than 10 min late” I said is there any reason you are speaking to me this way? Another woman stood up and said our time is valuable too! I said I get that I work in a doctors office but we don’t treat people this way. I said I’m usually here at 9 and get brought in around now and no one is waiting. They said you will have to talk with him about that I said ok so then he will se me? They said no we already told you no. I got so upset I said go Fyourself and left in tears. I called a few days later after I had calmed down and asked to speak with the office manager. Well the office manager was the woman who told me their time is valuable too. So I got nowhere with that. I said I would like for the Dr to call me she told me no. Wasn’t sure what to do. I then received a letter in the mail dismissing me from… the practice! I could not believe it! This is how you treat people with depression and anxiety?? Well let me also tell you this letter loooked fake. It looked like a child wrote my address on the outside of the envelope and just the way it was typed out and scribbled with supposedly Dr Siegel signature leads me to believe he may not even know about it. They way I was spoken to that day was disgusting and uncalled for. Shame on you! This was 2 years ago and I am obviously still pretty upset about it.

very huffy response when questions are asked or additional information is requested. Disconcerting compared to all the good reports normally heard about this practice

excellent doctor

Basically he got up in the middle of speaking to my dad and rushed me as if he had something better to do. We are leaving his care and seeking care elsewhere as I am very upset with how rude he was apparently
