Dr. Alan Ted Slepian, MD

Just had an appendectomy with Dr. Slepian. He is extremely professional and I enjoyed being under his care. He made sure I was comfortable during the procedure and my after care.

Dr Slepian was my surgeon for an emergency gallbladder removal 2 weeks ago. Went into hospital Sunday evening thinking I was having a heart attack. After numerous tests it was determined that my gallbladder needed to be removed. Dr Slepian came into my room Monday morning and introduced himself. He explained all that was going in and what was going to happen in surgery. He tone and demeanor was very calming . A few.hour's later surgery was completed. He spoke to my wife and assured her everything went well. I've been back to see him 3 times now since surgery and all.is good. Top notch service from him and his office staff.

I was rushed to St. Joseph's hospital in BethPage long island with abdominal pain. I was diagnosed to have an umbilical hernia Dr. Slepian was called for a consultation. He was at my bedside within the hour .He explained my work injury and what my opinions were. Dr. Slepian recommended surgery because my hernia would pop out every time I would stand. Since I work in heavy construction it would be impossible for me to return to work and not have issues. Dr Slepian scheduled my surgery for the next morning. My surgery was at 8:30 and I was awake in recovery at 10:30. Everything went well and I was discharged from the hospital by 3:00. I had 5 follow up appointments at his office over 7 weeks. I returned to work after 5 weeks even though I had a small infection which was taken care of with antibiotics prescribed by Dr Slepian. Dr Slepian is a pleasure to talk to as is the staff in his office who helped me with my paperwork. I highly recommend Dr. Slepian and his team if you need a general… surgeon. Jimmy Conaty

Dr. Slepian and his staff are exceptional! I can not say enough good things about them. Dr. Slepian took the time to explain what needed to be done and the procedure. He also explained what changes needed to be made and what to expect each step of the way. He was spot on with his prognosis. Dr. Slepian and the office staff are efficient, kind, knowledgable, and extremely skilled. Dr. Slepian loves his profession and loves to help people. You can't get a better prescription for good care better than that. I highly recommend Dr. Slepian without reservation.

He is professional and did a wonderful job and I barely have a scar. I couldn't be happier and would recommend him time and time again. Dr. Slepian was absolutely amazing. He is very knowledgeable and up-to-date on information in his field. He had great bedside manners, and took great care of me. He made me feel very comfortable in his care. When I was suffering with pain after surgery he made sure that all additional available were run to make sure that there were no complications. I was just the lucky person to have a rough recovery. I would highly recommend him.
