Rude, talked down to me, tried to sell me on a cardiology visit to line his pockets. Never followed up after my colonoscopy. Told me he is very good at what he does. Well, why do you have to tell me? Just do your job. I expect very well with out being told

Run from Dr. Alan Weintraub- he is the worst doctor I have ever experienced! He is extremely negligent with patient care, did not follow up with me as a patient, refused to acknowledge me after I filed a complaint, and essentially stole $7,500 for a procedure that he does on the side for CASH! Run from this horrible doctor, his real business is gastroenterologist but he does these weight loss balloons to MAKE FAST money- he is a bait and switch ARTIST and falsely advertises the non support or programs that supposedly come with Orbera! No coach, no dietician, no support services as promised in all the literature and orbera website. RUN!!! THIS DOCTOR IS A SCAM ARTIST PREYING ON VULNERABLE PEOPLE! Doesn’t answer phones and office staff is also unprofessional and rude, horrible bedside manners.

Not only do I like and respect Dr. Weintraub but his staff was super. I waited only 15 mins. They were kind and professional. I would recommend.

Went in for a meet and greet, to answer questions before I got scheduled for a Colonoscopy. Doctor started lecturing me about how horrible insurance companies were and that they try to stretch out appts to every 10 years and he gets them to approve/do them every 5 years. Then he started to talk to me about a procedure he can do (he bought equipment with another doctor) to make sure I'm not going to have a heart attack at a young age and that he only charges $99.00. First, I came in for a colon check. Second, he kept me waiting for an hour and a half (probably trying to scam others on this heart procedure). Third, I think this is a breach of ethics but doctors have to make money, too. As soon as I stopped him mid-sentence, he started yelling at me that he is doing me a favor and saving me from the headache of not having it covered by insurance and he can't believe anyone wouldn't want that done. Then I remembered that about 10 years ago I went to see him and came away with the same… feeling. Slimy. I walked out. He did not charge me, which is good because I would have had to pay for another doctor.

The worst experience I have ever had with an MD was with Dr. Weintraub. His conflicting diagnosis, neglect in obtaining a proper medical history and severe moodiness all contributed to this statement. His approach was to get through the appointment with minimal communication and bill my insurance for the visit. What a nightmare!

Oh boy I read all the reviews and they are all correct, positive and negative, unfortunately you don't know who you will find in your next visit. He is really moody and has no empathy. My last visit I was so sick, my stomach was cramping, I had a migraine, I was hungry and tired, I couldn't express myself properly and what he did? He spoke down to me with no empathy. I didn't return and I won't recommend him. There are other doctors with same or more knowledge than him but they are empathetic.

I have gone to Dr. Weintraub for about a decade now. If my problem was not as serious as I feared, he told me directly and concisely. When I was in serious trouble as a result of medication side effects (from other sloppy MD's), Dr. Weintraub went "above and beyond" to help me. He cared about me in a way that I will never forget. He is a New Yorker with a dry sense of humor which may not be for everyone, but just know, that this is a man of integrity and deep compassion. He knows his stuff and I will be forever grateful.

Dr. Weintraub is a rare and excellent doctor. Hard to find these days. He spends time listening and will solve any problem you may be having. He is honest, truthful, caring, and humble. Rarities found in doctors. I would recommend him to anyone having to either have an Upper EGD or lower GI. He is remarkable and when he says,"You will feel nothing," he really means it. Great doctor and he has renewed my faith in the medical profession.
