Dr. Alba Maria Abreu, MD

Dr. Abreu is miserable with her own life so she needs to put others down to feel better about herself. How are you going to make your psychiatric patients feel worse than they already do about themselves. This woman got her doctor’s license on wish. If I could give negative stars I would. Dr. Abreu if you’re reading this, find another profession.

Two of my in-laws were under this lady’s care and somehow she made their mental health even worse. She prescribed my bipolar 14 year old sister in law Fluxotine which gave her an intense mania which lead her to getting knocked up. Whether my in-laws had Bipolar, Anxiety, or Panic disorder, her go to drug to prescribe is Fluxotine... an antidepressant. She doesn’t really listen to her patients she just wants to prescribe drugs. My boyfriend was under her care too and he used to take vyvanse. It was giving him bad side effects like intense anxiety. Her answer to his problem? Fluxotine. Not changing the medication, but adding more. She even told him that his friends that he knew from highschool that he plays games with sometimes aren’t real friends because “you can’t make friends through video games”. Then she refused to give write an emotional support animal letter for our pet rabbit to keep her with us. Her reason? Because she had a little niece who “pet her baby rabbit to death once”.… That was our last straw with her, and my boyfriend hasn’t had proper ADHD treatment since because there’s not many other options. Overall, I do not recommend her.

If I could give no stars I would! Her faculty is extremely rude and disrespectful. I have waited two hours for my appointment just to be turned away and sent home because “she doesn’t have time to see you” when I had an appointment. The second time this happened, I had an appointment at 2, just to be told she is running late an hour and to return in an hour. I returned and again was told she had no time for me and then on top of that they refused to refill my prescription because she has to see me! Well guess what, I attempted to see her three times! It is her who has no time to see me and Despite that they can’t refill my prescription! DO NOT GO HERE!
