Dr. Albert Akkerman, MD

I have had 2 appointments so far with Dr. Akkerman, one to make a plan, and the second to administer injections in a joint. I was very impressed with the amount of time that Dr. Akkerman spent with me asking questions and telling me his plan. He was pleasant and listened well. Today I had an appointment with him to administer 2 injections in my sacroiliac joint. I was dreading it, but there was no pain and Dr Akkerman explained what he was doing as he did it.

Did not even exam me.was rude and nasty. Said I was just after pills if he would have looked at my MRI he would have seen the need for pain relief. I have had back surgery since and if he did his job he could have seen the need. Horrible man!

this doctor did not even read any mri reports or other medical reports I brought along with me. I would not recommend him to anyone . I waited along time to get into see him and it was a waste of my time. I was seriously injured and he could have cared less. Don't go to him...he will not help you
