Dr. Albert Irvin Alexander IV, MD

After surgery I called because of very high pain level. He told me to take 18 advil a day and didn't care about my pain. 3 advile every 4 hrs. Then when I told him my kidneys were throbbing in pain he said "are you telling me you never had a backache?" Incredibly rude. No follow up, really he doesn't care about big picture with patient which is very very sad.

He told me he wouldn't do my surgery because I was to fat to have Laparoscopic done. Also asked me if had a dog I could walk to get exercise. I felt so dejected and sad when I left there. A few years later I needed Cancer surgery and the Dr. at the D'Amour Cancer Institute was able to do Laparoscopic surgery. So what Dr. Alexander told me wasn't true.

DO NOT GO HERE! The doctor does not explain anything and just wants to do procedures so he can charge you RIDICULOUS amounts of money. Office manager is horrible too! 45 minute wait for a 2 minute exam, 1 minute diagnosis and a $200 bill... RUN to another doctor before its too late!

Dr. Alexander does not fit the sterotypic image of a surgeon. He is kind, compassionate and has a great sense of humor. He takes the time to review your chart before he sees you, and he listens to your concerns. His exam is gentle but thorough. He instills confidence.

I think Dr. Alexander is a bit of a throw back. By that I mean he listens well, treated me and then we talked about the little things in life and he seemed to care. On the day of my surgery he was business as usual and I had a lot of confidence in him. Thank you.
