Dr. Albert F. Gilman, MD

I scheduled appointment with Dr. Bailey, spoke to him about my issue and the surgery involved. I get to the operating room and am shocked to see a doctor who isn't even the man I had spoken with and had no clue another doctor would be performing my surgery, that information would have been most helpful pre-surgery. My surgery was on my face and would be done while I was awake and Dr. Gilman never introduced himself or told me the reason he would be performing my surgery. I don't like needles at all and he began to dig in my face with needles and continued to do so for an extended period of time until I finally said, forget, it, just let me out of here! I could not take anymore. At that point and time, he went ahead with the procedure and I could feel him ripping the top layer of my skin away and digging around. It was a horrifying experience, he then dropped a pair of scissors or scalpel or something sharp, point side down on my bare leg, he did apologize but it still hurt! This has… been over a year ago and the scar on my face is about 3 inches long for a less than 1 inch cyst. I was mortified with the scar, had I known it would look this bad for life, I would have left the cyst.

Yes, I would most definitely choose Dr. A. Gilman again!

Dr. Gilman is both professional and caring. He makes a diagnosis with assurity and clearly explains all terms to the patient so he can understand what needs to be done to improve his health. I recommend Dr. Gilman as a superb surgeon in the Decatur area.

Couldn't have asked for more direct answers and caring was unbelievable in a difficult time. In today's time of wanting to squeeze the last dime out of the elderly, Dr. Gillman really showed that he is passionate about his work and cares for people (they truly aren't just numbers).
