Friendly, spends alot of time with you, explains things clearly, my doctor likes him alot

I was referred to Dr. Ortega by my neurologist. It was hard to get an appointment because he is in high demand. After seeing him I could see why. He explains things in detail with language I could understand. He was gentle and caring and for the first time I did not feel rushed. I left his office with answers and a clear direction. Part of the problem though in getting an appointment is that it is done by hospital staff and not his office.

*NEEDED TO PUT 1 STAR IN ORDER TO SUBMIT THIS REVIEW. ZERO STARS FOR THIS OFFICE!!! Trying to book an appointment with Dr. Oretega was one of the worse experiences ever. Th person you have to speak with “Veronica” is completely unprofessional. She does not listen to what you are saying; completely unapologetic; I’ve left numerous voicemails and she won’t return calls because she says she gets to them when she gets to them. In 3 weeks of leaving messages or having to deal with her rudeness, I still did not get the appointment. We decided to speak to the Administrator “Linda Fox” which said, Veronica is the best & blamed the computer system her department has as “garbage; ridiculous” maybe she should speak to the VP/CEO of Methodist to upgrade their system as oppose to trashing that system. That is not the clients problem. Linda did not follow up as an Administrator to make sure our Authorization number came through & that we got an appointment. Other physicians at Brooklyn Methodist… also told us Veronica was a problem and that even though Dr. Ortega is great, we should go elsewhere. Which is exactly what we did. In a matter of 5 minutes I called someone else, they answered all my questions professionally & so politely, and most importantly gave an appointment. In 5 minutes! Good luck trying to have an easy pleasant time booking an appointment with Dr. Ortega. Otherwise, GO ELSEWHERE!!!!
