Dr. Albert John Rhoton, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Rhoton for over 6 years, since moving back to High Point. I have several gastro issues. He always takes his times to listen to my complaints and issues. He is very thorough in his exam, always educated me on what is wrong and what to do and is willing to do any tests he thinks may help in diagnosing and treating the problem. He explains things in layman's terms. Very pleased with his service.

Quality knowledge and professionalism at this group. My husband, Rob Garrett, had a colonoscopy today by Dr. Albert Rhoton. All went well, you feel as though you're the only patient they're treating, lots of personal attention. We highly recommend this group for your gastrointestinal needs, especially if you are looking for a specialist for your colonoscopy, ask for Dr. Albert Rhoton. What a proficient and caring staff! Five star all the way!

My family would NEVER recommend this doctor!! His bedside manner is arrogant. When coming into my dad's room early this morning, he started asking questions and when my dad said he needed to put in his hearing aid the doctor ignored him and kept on talking. The day before, I was in the room when we met the doctor for the first time. I mentioned that dad did not hear well and the doctor quickly retorted "I can't talk any louder than this". We have seen other doctors in his practice group that are extremely polite, conversant and excellent in their approach to patients. However Dr Rhoton demonstrated none of these characteristics in our two meetings with him. I only give him one star because ZERO stars was not an option.

I've never had a doctor like Dr. Rhoton - he is truly exceptional. He called me promptly with my test results - twice - and he didn't hurry me when I asked questions on the phone. And when I called his office to ask a question of a nurse, he came to the phone to answer my question. This kind of care and attention from a busy physician is rare today.

I have had all of my Colonoscopies performed by Dr. Rhoton. I have found him to be extremely knowledgeable, spending considerable time with me to explain the process and findings. His staff is friendly, caring and helpful. If there is such a thing as a "pleasant" colonoscopy, Dr. Rhoton and his staff are the reason.

Dr. Rhoton was very compassionate, a good listener, and very thorough in explaining my treatment. He even called on a Saturday to give me the results of my tests. I highly recommend him.
