Dr. Albert Lester Sprinkle, MD

There was a shortage of my daughter's medication so the pharmacy filled what they had in stock. I explained this to Dr. Sprinkle and he refused to send in another medication to be filled when she ran out, insisting that the pharmacy should illegally fill the remainder of the controlled, CII, substance. I explained to the receptionist that this was against the law (21 CFR §1306.13) and asked to have Dr. Sprinkle speak with the pharmacist and he flat out refused to come to the phone. There was no concern for the law, and there was no concern for my daughter.

I saw Dr. Sprinkles at Decatur General West as an adolescent. He was the first doctor who helped me and has been a milestone in my life. I feel without him I would not have the fundamentals to be in society today. He taught me how to display basic behaviors but those base skills are what I rely on to help me with behavioral therapy now. It’s as simple as looking someone in the eye, but it’s still one of the hardest things I’ve gotta do. I’m 28 and still not mentally stable, but I’m not delayed or entirely unprepared and confused with life.

Went to him for nearly 2 decades. Totally ignored obvious signs of a mood disorder throwing me around on every ADD Medication there is. My new psychiatrist took two visits to diagnose me and get me medication that actually helps.

Please have your staff take time to talk with a child before making comments about the child’s condition to the child. They have no idea what has happened to the child in the past and shouldn’t make assumptions about their diagnosis or what might be bothering them. At least, Dr Sprinkle does spend time trying to understand the child’s concerns.

I took my teenage daughter in for our first visit and he spent less than 10 minutes with her, laughed at her answer on what was bothering her and increased her dosage by 100%. She came out crying and when she told me what had happened, he’s fortunate I didn’t go back in there. So unprofessional. DO NOT USE THIS POOR EXCUSE AS A CAREGIVER!

This sorry excuse for a doctor doesn't even want to help, he is there for the paycheck. Has no empathy whatsoever and definitely doesn't need to be working with CHILDREN.

Was very rude and dry in demeanor. I would not recommend him for any child.
