I took my mother there for an eye surgery and she left crying over how horribly the doctor treated her. He was short tempered with her even before the procedure began because her eye would not dilate, which is not her fault. Once the procedure began she said he kept on getting upset with her because her eye was moving. My poor mother was nervous as anyone would be having instruments and such stuck into their eye. She said he ended the procedure by ripping a piece of tape off her face and walking out of the room. No explanation, no words spoken, nothing. You do not treat patients that way. As a doctor you need to have some patience and compassion for your patients. Absolutely unacceptable behavior.

Utterly preposterous and nearly incomprehensible this office is in the United States of America. It is a complete dump of an office. Just unreal ANYONE would trust their eyes to this office. Pathetic does not even come close to describing this. You would be better off to find anyone else but this office. Speak only the language of America - English? Nope...not at this office. This is America people....awful!

Dr. Aran, I was a patient in your eye institution for several years. I think the world of your doctors, however, cant say the same about your staff. I have literally been in tears each time I either had to make an appointment over the phone or received a message on my answering machine from one of your staff whom I couldn't understand one word she was saying. One time I kept playing my answering machine over 5 times and had to call a neighbor in to listen. Still both of us couldn;t make out not one word. Another thing, if lets say if I go to the Sunrise office, they dont make appointments there, everything goes through Miami. So again the language barrier begins once more. Is there a reason you cater to non speaking staff that you dont care about English speaking people. For that reason, I changed my health insurance. I want nothing to do with that illiteracy again. Also I must comment on some of the nurses you have working for you in your Ft. Lauderale facility. I have worked… many years in a hospital and have never come across such rudeness as the nurses you have working there. So, my compliments to you on your physicians, the rest can take a hike.

Dr. ARAN WAS AN EXCELLENT SURGEON FOR ME.I HAD MYOPIA IN BOTH EYES AND NOW I HAVE 20/20 IN BOT EYES.MY SURGERY WAS 5 MONTHS AGO AND I FELL JUST A LITLE DRYNESS SOMETIMES.

They don't answer the phone!!!

His place is understaffed and he has no time to even see à parions he operates on . He is like a butcher

Because I've had a torn retina before, the only doctors I will see are ophthalmologist and retina specialists. I lost a piece of contact in my eye and called my regular specialist to see me and they had no opening. After calling a long list of Ophthalmologists and being turned away, I called Aran & Associates and they were able to see me the same day. I did have a long wait but because of the nature of the situation, I was just happy that the doc would see me the same day. Honestly, because it was an emergency (in the sense that it couldn't wait another day) I would've waited in the office all day knowing that if something happened, I was already there. The staff was very nice. Once the doctor came in, I apologized for having to be squeezed in but that I thought I had an emergency and was not about to let an ER doc (with no specialization in eyes) poke around in my eyes. I told him that I hoped I was wrong and that it was no emergency but I wanted a specialist to be sure. He was… very understanding and told me I absolutely made the right decision and needed to see a specialist. It turns out I was right and he had to go in and take out the piece of contact. If it wasn't for them, I really don't know what I would've done. From my experience in the past, with my torn retina, I know how difficult it is to get a doctor to see you same day, much less a doctor that has never seen you before. It is a rare thing in Miami to have a doctor's office really care about what you tell them over the phone. I've spoken to dozens of receptionists that will simply say "sorry, we can't see you" when you are telling them you have an emergency. I recommend them to everyone. Even if the wait is long, it's worth it. Just take the day off and enjoy the fact that you are in good hands.
