Dr. Alberto J Fernandez Sabater, MD

He is rude, cocky, takes your money, condescending, and then tells you he needs more $$$ to complete an intake before he decides if he will “help” you or not. I hope he is his first patient of the day.

This man wasn’t helpful and wore only socks to the appointment. He was abrasive. For the amount he charged and his lack of bedside manner, it takes everything I have not to call the medical board on him. Went straight back to the PCP who referred me and requested a different dr.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR

Yesterday, I went to see this "doctor"... Sabater, MD, for the first time. Not only did he keep me waiting for 15 minutes while he fixed his lunch, he then proceeded to eat it in front of me during "our session". He never made eye contact; he was dismissive, and later, I felt like a fool for not having left and demanded my money back. He charged a great deal of money for what he said was a 45 minute session; it had been my understanding that it was to be a 90 minute session to assist me in dealing with the PTSD that I have been experiencing. He wanted to book me for two additional sessions to "complete my history intake! When he had finished his huge salad topped with avocado, half a roasted chicken and a pint of black bean soup, he pronounced our session was over. When I got home, I had had time to process my feelings, and I called the office. He told me that if I wrote anything derogatory about him that caused him to lose future income, "he would sue me for everything I have, or… ever would have." This "doctor" did me a great disservice; this man who ate his lunch in front of me while clad in his socks. I felt so much worse after our encounter and subsequent phone communication. I would like to add that this man looks absolutely nothing like the photo presented here. I am wondering if he stole the real Dr. Sabater's identity. I am being serious. The man that I saw yesterday was slovenly, very thin, had patches of facial hair and was wearing socks, but no shoes. He seemed distracted, and solely interested in consuming his large repast. He can try to sue me, but these are simply the facts... I am angry at myself for sitting there and allowing myself to be treated in such a disrespectful manner. I will be calling the Florida Board of Health tomorrow. I will also be asking why "Psychology Today" would be endorsing this "practitioner"!

Listens, takes suggestions into account, courteous, patient, kind. Been with him for 7 years.
