Dr. Aldo Antonio Buonanno, MD

After a 10 minute initial interview, I was scheduled for a psychiatric evaluation for Bipolar Disorder and ADHD on my request. Dr. Buonanno diagnosed me with Panic Disorder and renewed my anti-depressant (which I had told him was barely taking the edge off the depression). I did a three hour evaluation. When I came back, he hadn't read the results, but asked me what happened in the evaluation. I offered him my copy thinking maybe he didn't get one, and he said he had one. He pulls it out, glances at the first paragraph and says "ADHD huh?" I said, "Yea. He said Bipolar 2 as well." Dr. Buonanno nods. He writes two prescriptions, one for Adderall, one for my anti-depressant and asks me to follow him. About 8 minutes start to finish. I find myself at the checkout desk with the discharge paper and it says Panic Disorder and ADHD. No mention of Bipolar, which was evident in the testing. Will be changing doctors very soon. Shame I can get a stimulant, but I can't get a non-controlled mood… stabilizer.

Dr. Buonanno has been terrific in managing my prescriptions. He always finds time to ask how I am doing, etc. My only wish is that he could also be my therapist. He is THAT good.

The Doctor was not at all concerned with help me. My appointment was moved beacuse and he had to leave he was not concerned about what I was telling him. I felt as though I was not talking to a doctor but a just another person. My initial visit which should have been at least 30 min was only for 15 min. My worst experience with a doctor. Would not recommend him at all.
