Dr. Alejandro Jorge Betancourt, MD

Had my first diskectomy was fine afterwards, after my second diskectomy and am still in lots of pain, the right work was not done to relieve my pain, all he did was ordered a CT scan and wanted another MRI if I've already had one after my second surgery why does me need another one, and he's prescribed all the most strongest meds and nothing helps plus my feet tingle 24/7 even after my second surgery and always not so good as to pay attention to what I need to ask him, always in a rush and rude, not recommendable.

never calls back... never seen the DR and poor at best communication.

I finished therapy a month ago and no one has called me to set up an appointment to see dr. Betancourt or his assistant, and I still have to meet the actual dr. Betancourt!!!!

I feel great after my surgery. Dr. Betancourt and his staff treatment towards me has been great. They have been very supportive and always available to answer my questions.

Dr. Betancourt is amazing! I was frightened. I never had surgery before, let alone a major one. He put me at ease. I had always been in pain since childhood. I had turned 30 yrs. old the previous month. I always felt bad weather and now was in the most excruciating pain ever imaginable. Dr. Betancourt & Dr. Donez were so reassuring and when all was said and done, it was like a miracle. No pain from the surgery at all! when I went home I couldn't even tell (for the first time in my life) when bad weather would be coming. I was able to run, walk, dance for hours non-stop & most importantly wear heels! I do not trust anyone else with my spine but these two.... They are the Dynamic Duo!

While implanting my son's spinal fusion device, Dr. Betancourt also discovered and removed a large piece of disc that did not show up on the MRI.

Staff will not help work out problems in the least. Dysfunctional office.

There was always a minimum of a one-hour wait in the lobby for me beyond the scheduled appt time; 1 hour and 45 minutes was typical. The charge for a urine drug screen was outrageously high, and they did it even though I did not even request pain medication. Getting hold of an employee could be difficult; sometimes they would not answer the phone or return calls, but later they became much more prompt at this.

I've had 2 surgeries with Dr. Betancourt, and all I can say is he is a brilliant and wonderful surgeon. I am grateful the lord put him in my path when I needed help. I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone in need.
