Dr. Alejandro Castano, DDS

Dr. Alejandro Castano began his secondary education at the University of Miami under the Trustee’s Merit Scholarship and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 2010. He then entered the prestigious College of Dental Medicine at Columbia University in New York City on the Dr. Marlene Klyvert Merit Scholarship, earning his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 2014. After completing his doctorate, Dr. Castano was accepted into residency at New York University College of Dentistry and earned his specialty certificate in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry in 2017. Dr. Castano is Board Certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery.Dr. Castano has engaged in clinical research and published works in major scientific dental journals regarding novel treatment of oral melanoma, periodontal plastic surgery in areas of prominent roots, posterior immediate dental implants, and simultaneous hard and soft-tissue augmentation in the esthetic zone. He is fluent in 2 languages (English & Spanish) and has a passion for college football. His hobbies include photography, basketball, cycling, motorsports, and traveling.
