Exceptional practice/partners' back up & outstanding staff

I have known Dr. H. for many years, even prior to his orthopedic clinic. He has always shown fantastic bedside manner. He is very personable and his staff is second to none! I cannot say enough wonderful things about him

I have used him before and loved his bedside manner, but after years of not seeing him he has changed, very arrogant, wouldn't let my spouse have a word, acted like my problem was not important and blew me off, wondering now who will I use a most doctors in our area work for the same office and have bad reviews?

Dr. Alex is a wonderful doctor that takes the time to listen. He performed multiple test on me and took the time to explain what was happening with me. I have sent family and friends to see Dr. Alex and they have all came back to me thanking me. Wonderful doctor with a wonderful bed side demeanor.

I had been to another doctor in this group for my shoulder with excellent results. Following difficulty after a fall, I called to make an appointment for a knee and movement problem. I was directed to this "doctor" because it was the day before Thanksgiving and my other doctor only focused on shoulders. Given my first very effective experience with this group, I assumed this would be equally as helpful. It was clear from the moment Dr. Homaechevarria finally walked in the exam room that he was not interested in me or my problems. He was distracted and clearly not happy about having to work so near to the holiday. He was missing his ski time. After I had been poked, prodded and x-rayed for nearly an hour prior to his arrival (I assume it was a distraction tactic to cover his tardiness), his solution was that I lose weight, which I pointed out was hard to do given I could barely walk. I, not him, suggested that physical therapy might be useful to which he reluctantly issued an… order. It was the most worthless waste of time and money that I have spent in the pursuit of medical advice, and I'm no spring chicken (another negative patient characteristic by his standards). In short, he is arrogant and egotistical. As I was checking out of this humiliating experience, the female staff went on and on about what a "cutie" he is and how everyone calls him Dr. H because no one can pronounce his last name. While they were kind and trying to make light of his pouty, sour attitude, given their own girth I would find it hard to believe this was a mutual admiration society.

Dr. Alex was great! He took care of my knee injury within a week with two appts with him and an MRI. He spent time explaining everything and making me feel comfortable. Top notch for sure.

Go somewhere else. "Dr. Alex" appears to have little concern for his patients. I was referred to him from the St. Lukes ER, and wish I hadn't been. First, he was late for every appointment I made with him - not just a little either. The first two, he was half an hour late. Then, for my final appointment, I made it early in the morning (his first) and he was an hour and 15 minutes tardy. When I confronted him about it, he acted as if I were being unreasonable. On top of that, the care plan he provided me for my broken ankle was nothing more than a referral to physical therapy, RICE and nsaids. I got more from a Google search. I suspect that he treated me this way because I'm not an athlete.
