Dr. Alejandro Rabionet

Made an appointment with Dr Rabionet for a full body scan. Office visit was $90 with insurance. He proceeded to check me and sprayed liquid nitrogen on 3 spots. One on my ear, one on my scalp and one on my wrist. The one on my ear was an AK, not sure what the other 2 were. He also took a biopsy of a spot on my leg saying it might be a basel cell carcinoma. I asked about some spots my back and he said they weren’t precancerous so he would have to charge me to also hit them with the nitrogen so I declined. When I got the bill in the mail my charges were over $400, one of the charges was for a noncancerous spot and was $129 and that didn’t even include the lab results. When I called to question the bill and told him I declined non cancerous spot removal , Dr Rabionet said it was because I used my insurance and when he bills insurance it’s just buttons he hits and if I had paid cash it would have been much less. He said to talk to the billing dept on Monday and they would probably… adjust the bill. They told me to go pound sand! This practice is reprehensible. I’ve been going to a Dermatologist in Yardley PA for full body scans for over 30 years and they never charged for hitting spots individually with liquid nitrogen. Money grabbers!
