Dr. Aleksander Lenert, MD

terrible experience. dr alekdander lenert has a very rude and dismissive bedside manner and does not document treatment accurately. this is the kind of rheumatologist that puts people off seeking further treatment for their condition. it is hard enough to be sick without also having to fight to have your doctor respect you and take your complaints seriously. i have been diagnosed with systemic lupus (SLE) for 5 years and have been actively seeing a rheumatologist for 6 years. i saw dr lenert only because my last dr left the practice and i have to find a new rheumatologist. without even asking me about my symptoms or past treatment dr lenert began the visit by informing me that i do not have SLE. this was based on his review of my existing records and previous lab values, with no consideration of subjective symptoms or any clinical observation of my condition. i described to him the worsening of symptoms that has me wondering if i may also have sjogren's and he said that he would run… labs to check my markers for sjogren's. he did not seem to even be listening to my description of my symptoms and seemed irritated that i was talking at all during the visit. he performed a very cursory physical examination. he then told me to continue on the lupus medication that i have been taking and left the room with no discussion of any plan of treatment. when the staff member came back into the room with my lab order and schedule for my next appointment dr lenert had scheduled my return apointment for one year from now. he did not order any autoimmune specific tests, despite having said he was going to check for sjogren's markers. after my visit note was posted to my online portal i reviewed it to see if i could gain any insight into his clinical reasoning regarding my condition. what i found was that he documented having discussed treatment strategies that he certainly did not discuss with me during my visit. he also documented having done a more thorough physical exam than he actually performed, with multiple inaccuracies throughout the visit note. i will not return to this clinic to see dr lenert again and i recommend that others avoid seeking treatment from him as well

This was my second visit with Dr Lenert but I have been a patient in this office for 12 years. I felt like Dr. Lenert was very capable of managing my routine follow up, going over any changes, and managing my case. The office was very busy, but he was courteous and did not seem bothered by extra questions or making sure I felt confident in my treatment plan. The office staff was very helpful, kind, and efficient. It's a very busy practice so I expected a little wait time. It wasn't bad at all.

I have been going to Dr. Lenert for several years and he is great! I moved from Texas and was concerned about finding a great Rheumatologist and was surprised how wonderful he was. He always listens to me and was able to streamline my medication. I have read the reviews that he is arrogant and doesn't listen...they are not talking about Dr. Lenert!

Will never return to this so called doctor. Came in with high ANA blood work, swollen joints and joint pain and he stated " haven't u ever heard of Tylenol?" Wouldn't even look at me when i spoke and basically told me to take Tylenol for every symptom of lupus. I walked out and left him standing there like the fool he is

I was really dreading going to another doctor that wouldn't really listen to my issues and brush me off so that they can go on to the next person. I had read the reviews the day before my appointment and I almost cancelled because I felt like he would just be another doctor that wouldn't listen based on the previous reviews. Dr. Lenert, took the time to listen to my issues and he knew exactly how I felt and was able to explain to me what was going on with me. He did not rush me nor did he over talk me. He explained to me clearly and made sure that I understood what he was telling me several times. I am so truly thankful that I kept that appointment and didn't let the reviews turn me the other way. I found Dr. Lenert to be very caring, understanding and eager to help. Thank you Doctor Lenert for explaining to me what's been going on with myself and for putting me in the right direction to make living life a little easier each day. I'm sorry for the others that did not receive… the same wonderful care that I did on these reviews, may you find answers someday soon as well. God bless.

Arrogant and dismissive attitude. Behaves like he hates his job. I'm a healthcare worker and come in contact with a lot of physicians. This is one I will not return to and I will not recommend to anyone else.

Seemed too rushed to listen to my concerns. Didn't seem to take my complaints seriously.
