Dr. Alex Bernardo Altamirano, MD

Dr. Alex B. Altimarano helped me more than any other doctor. I have had psychological problems since I was a child. I am 32. The medications I have been on in my life has ranged from A-Z...Literally!!! My diagnosae are severe long term depression, anxiety, intense OCD, ADD, Tourette Syndrome with mild all the way to very intense TICS (if you were to see me in an "episode" you would call 911 because it looks like a seizure), insomnia, Type 2 Bipolar Disorder and numerous other non-psychological problems (back, neck, shoulder pain etc.). Out of the 50 ish MDs I have seen Dr. Altimarano was able to help me with become a functional human being without having to take 17 different medications. When I first saw him I couldn't even finish a statement without having to say every other word 3 times because of my OCD and having constant TICS 90% of the day. The only thing that I did all day was lay in bed. If it wasn't for him I would be in a much worse place in my life...if I was lucky. If you… are able to get him as your Psychiatrist...keep him. There isn't any better.
