Dr. Alex R Cohen, DO

WARNING I made a new patient appointment with Dr. Alex Cohen and waited roughly a month to see him. 2 days before my appointment they send a text to confirm; and instead of being scheduled with Dr. Cohen I was scheduled with Remi Dieujuste, APRN. So I called to ask if that was correct and they said yes. They said Dr. Alex Cohen doesn't even ever work at that location. So I asked why they told me I was scheduled with Dr. Cohen when really I was scheduled with a completely different person who has a different level of training. No offense to nurse practitioners but I was told I was scheduled with a specific person with specific training and then I was told two days before the appointment that that person doesn't even work there. You actually pick the provider you want to see and I picked Dr. Alex Cohen and they never told me it would be somebody who works for him at a completely different location from him. This is false and misleading. Actually it was This is not ethical and people… should be leery of trickiness like this. They should have told me who I was actually going to be scheduled with for my new patient appointment. I am not surprised Dr. Alex Cohen is in Sunrise, FL where there are a lot of seniors. Please be careful because this does not bode well for the ethics of the practice at all.

I have been seen by Doctor Cohen for over 15 years and I'll love him till death. I can't imagine ever going to a different general practitioner. He he's very knowledgeable, friendly and enjoyable to visit.

Dr. Cohen is an excellent physician. He is very thorough, has a great bedside manner and in general is a pleasure to see. I would highly recommend Dr. Cohen.

I have been using him for over 12 years now. Dr. Cohen is very friendly and knowledgeable. If you request a specific medication or procedure he will usually allow them unless, in his professional opinion, they are not necessary.

I became a patient of Dr.Cohen 10 years ago when I moved to Pompano Beach. What a find! I can't recommend him enough for his abilities as a doctor and his caring.One thing I love about Dr.Cohen is that he listens to you, and doesn't try to do tests after tests when they aren't needed. He is a very practical doctor. Recently I tried the Cleveland Clinic. Leaving now in Cooper City, I thought it would be closer. On the advice of a friend I went to the Cleveland Clinic. What a mistake!! After going for this test and that test, with no end in site, I decided the drive up to Dr. Cohen's office is worth it. Because of him I have a fantastic urologist, oncologist, and now an arthritis specialist. I hope Dr.Cohen will be with us a long, long time. That retirement is a long way away.
