Dr. Alex Hertzman, MD

Dr. Hertzman is a very thorough doctor. He explains things thoroughly and does a thorough work up on his patients. Very few doctors are as thorough as he is.

I loved that his was very thorough. I found out more of my medical conditions from him that most other doctors I have seen in so many years. There were a few that I should have been told that I’m finding out for the first time from his thorough assessment of my health issues. I truly appreciate Dr Hertzman. I can only hope he will be able to aid in my healing process.

Initial appointment was extensive and the receptionist took an extraordinary amount of time getting every detail. Dr. Hertzman is VERY direct and no nonsense which I found reassuring, after months of vague indecisive treatment from two other practices. I would highly recommend Dr. Hertzman to anyone with rheumatologic issues.

Dr. Brilliant had me call because of my bone scan. He wanted me to schedule a formal consult with Dr. Hertzman. the receptionist was so rude. What an ugly impression she made. She never did give me an appointment even though she said nothing was available until May (which I would have taken). Said she would have to call me back.

Very hard to get initial appointment because they reserve substantial time for it. After that, it's pretty easy. Waiting times can be long on occasion but usually not bad. Staff is fantastic, friendly, competent. Dr. Hertzman can be a little brusque in manner, but is professional, cares about his patients, follows up as needed. A specialist who can see the big picture and consider other aspects of the patient's health
