I had a urethroplasty performed by Dr.Vanni. I was very apprehensive as I’ve had surgeries from age of seven to my 50s with no success. Dr.Vanni was very compassionate and reassuring. I went for the procedure knowing that Im risking either becoming incontinent at a very young age or have erectile dysfunction at 50. I stayed home for two weeks with a catheter inserted but did not feel any pain, and to my surprise without a single drop of blood on my wound dressing. I left the hospital and drove all the way to Plymouth and it was eight hours before I felt the need to urinate.
