Dr. Alexander Soutar Carney, MD

Dr. Carney originally became our family practitioner. Later, when the demand for his services became so great that he only accepted patients with rheumatology issues, he agreed to continue to be my primary care physician. I honestly don't know why he hasn't received all four star reviews. His knowledge far exceeds his credentials. He knows about medical conditions that are not necessarily connected to his field of expertise or will find a top-notch specialist in any field that he feels you should consult with.He absorbs all new information published in medical journals and will pass that knowledge on to his patients. The wait time is a little long only because he listens to all your concerns and follows up on them with the appropriate tests needed. He is kind beyond measure. You feel mentally healed when you leave his office, assured of his concern for you as a person and his ability to diagnose and correctly treat your condition. He routinely calls to discuss your condition or… to find out how you are generally doing. I pray he will never retire.

I was in really bad shape when I visited Dr. Carney, and I was under his care for three months. He is an extraordinary physician, one of the few in the industry to truly care about their patients. He'll call at 8pm to ask about your status. His assistant, Lisa, is a very caring person as well. I highly recommend this doctor and his practice.
