Dr. Alexander Chih Hu

The entire office of Dr Hu are knowledgeable, thoughtful and considerate of their patients. Very helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend Dr Hu and staff to anyone with arthritis problems.

I only saw Dr. Hu once and he seemed nice. I was sent to his NP (Despina Ciocanel). In a 6 month period with multiple visits, she never remembered me or what was going on with my case. Even after she reviewed my records in front of me, she offered no information to me about my diagnosis. She put me on medication, then did not submit my refills. She confused with an 8 year old patient at one point and I am in my 50s. When I requested my records to switch to a new doctor, they said it would take 14 days for them to even look at my request. Then they never sent my records to the new DR. I had to go back to my primary for a new referral. I also requested the records for myself. I was going to have to pay for them and it took over a month to even get that offer. They have set me back a year in getting treatment for my arthritis. They also missed a herniated disk that I ended up learning about from an orthopedic surgeon. Do not waste your time.

My mom is 91 and a fee months ago, exhibited signs of rheumatoid arthritis. After referral from my mom's PCP, we had our first visit with Dr. Hu. He was polite, informative while answering our questions, reviewed her bloodwork with us, examined her joints and recommended a medication to reduce the RA inflammation. We would highly recommend Dr. Hu!

Today was my first visit with Dr. Hu. After our long discussion about my issue, I am completely confident that I am in expert hands with Dr. Hu. I was impressed with his knowledge about my issue, his ability to explain things to me so that I could understand, and his pleasant demeanor. I feel lucky that my primary referred me to Dr. Hu. He’s great.

What a pleasure meeting Dr. Hu! He was personable, seemed to really care about my condition and took his time carefully explaining treatment options in language I could easily follow and understand. He is the kind of physician those of us of a certain age remember as being the norm. The staff is extremely courteous and efficient. My entire visit was a pleasant experience.

It is such a pleasure to have a Specialist who truly cares, prepares, and never rushes through an appointment. Every last detail about test results, questions, and concerns are addressed, as well as questions from the patient. Notes are taken, and everything regarding future testing, meds, etc., are addressed immediately. Dr. Hu is a "brainiac" who consistently is educating himself to better help his patients. I am eternally grateful that he is my Dr. He is a model of what all Doctors should prescribe to be. Thank you so very much for what you do. Your ethics and professionalism are to be commended.
