Dr. Alexander Gaukhman

My wife just walked out on Dr. Gaukhamn, Just to see him pay up front $275. Then he starts recommending procedures and wants lab people to take a look at an additional starting cost of $1,000 plus insurance, for a repair that our family dentist has performed for a total of $375. We should trust these reviews more. DO NOT USE HIM, even if you have to wait for a even if you have to wait for a reputable dentist appointment.

I had an awful experience at Dr Gaukham’s office, his administrator collected $275 dollars from me before I was seen by the doctor, the doctor did not examine me his assistant did, I needed a lament recemented, the assistant took it to be sterilized, in the meantime they went to work on another patient, it was a long wait until finally the office administrator came into the exam room to ask for my credit card again because in addition to the $275 to recement the lament is an additional $150, I said I would pay it at the end of the visit as my lament is not yet back on my tooth, she said she would ask the doctor at which point the assistant came back in to recement my tooth and I asked if the doctor could recement it rather then the assistant, the doctor then came into the room and was so nasty, he actually asked me if I was born in America and if I understand English ( in his foreign accent) and said I am too difficult and asked me to leave, never in my life have I ever been treated… with such disrespect, he is only concerned with receiving payment not in reviewing with me my problem or working on a solution, he merely commanded his administrator to get more money from me and commanded his assistant do the work that I needed, I would NOT recommend anyone see this doctor, I am grateful that Dr Gaukham nor his assistant came near my mouth.

Terrible dentist do not go to him.

Stating to the BBB that I am using the failed $27,000.00 rip off that they gave me, I gave a stated letter from the dentist that completed my work ,stating that the grossly failed work is in his safe keeping, at the new dentist office, but Dr. Gaukhman refused to accept it back and-to give me any of the money back, and knows it is in the possession of my new dentist,his assistant Vanessa planned the whole two failed units from 2 different labs, and did my 11 treatments totally by herself, as a unlicensed, untrained,unprofessional

I was told by eight dentist that I had a Complicated case for a 12 unit- upper bridge " And that it was extremely important -to see no one other than a Prosthodontic Dentist" - and that is why when I saw the web page for Dr.Gaukhman- it stated that there was in fact a Prosthodontic on staff as I was led to believe,as Dr. Gaukhman stated that he was not a Prosthodontics- but did have one on staff if needed. We seemed to be having quite a few problems but the so called Prosthodontic did not intervene -and as I found out later that they never did have one, even though the web site showed one -as I showed the web site to Vanessa and told her they should correct the site as it was very misleading. I was promised that all but one visit would be in their Port Charlotte office (2 miles from my home) But all of the 18 visits were done in Venice 80 miles round trip from my home- 1500 miles out of the way.( Said they didn't have the… proper tools at that off- but would work it out later- having Vanessa bring the tools there) I was told that the 12 unit bridge could not be done in what I was paying for $27,000.00 ( in Dental Ziconia ) but they would give me a free life time of cleaning for the difference- but I am a 79 yr. old veteran and senior. The lab company owner made 7 trips each and every time that I was in the dental chair and not one time was Dr. Gaukhman present, except one time when Vanessa had an augment with the lab guy as he got tired of having to make so many unnecessary trips to the office and Dr. Gaukhman walked into the room turned around and walked right back out showing no concern whatsoever,in the 10 months of my treatments not one time did he ever do any any work on me- and when I asked him why he was not even assisting Vanessa he simply stated that he has a security camera in all treatment rooms and can supervise through the cameras. In short he had Vanessa decide how to plan the entire 4 unit metal bridge units consisting of 12 teeth -as she ran the whole show making all of the decisions, ''and obviously Dr. Gaukhman Delegated Professional Responsibilities to a Non-Qualified Non Training Non Experienced nor A licensed person (named Vanessa) that failed totally two times and with two plans and with two separate labs, A new attempt was done in a 4 unit and this time as Dr. Misch recommended an only then did Vanessa have it done in Ziconia- in a new plan for where the teeth would be placed but that was a pathetically failed result as well being of Vanessa's inexperience. I was told by Vanessa if I weren't happy with the results SHE would refund all of my money but that didn't happen as well. I should have seen a huge red flag- but I didn't - as she stated to me from day one not to call the office to make of break any appointments but to call her or text her on her personal phone (and I have over 30 texts copies showing all the issues and con jobs that I was receiving. from her. I then saw Dr Misch on two occasions that had done my extensive bone graft and implants in the past, and i saw him for an evaluation- and he stated how wrong this was being planed out by an assistant that was putting the four front teeth on just two mini implants- and that it could very well be made in Zirconia, but that also failed as well with Vanessa's new treatment plan and was also abandoned by Dr. Gaukhman and Vanessa in changing all of my appointments around thus discouraging me and realizing things are really not going to get better. Finally a face to face meeting with Dr. Gaukhman- as he stated that he would refund $12,000.00 of my $27,000.00 in which I refused. Dr. Misch has since referred me to a real Prosthodontics dentist and he could not believe the treatment plan that I received from Vanessa (An assistant at that) as he stated to me and proved that turned out to be a single unit of Zirconia and all of 95% work was done by the new dentist having 5% help by his assistant ( not like the 100% of my treatments done by Vanessa- and her not having any assistance by Dr. Gaukhman or anyone else for such a big job that was being done in 10 treatment visits- without any assistance whatsoever. Again in short I never received a penny of my $27,000.00 back, but the work from the new Dentist that did a 100% job and in a single unit in Dental Ziconia and when it came back from the lab, and being only one trip to the lab everything was precise and having a perfect bite. Was sited numerous times by the dentistry board. His favorite practice is to poke holes during anesthesia in totally healthy teeth to up sell very expensive repair option.So many people can not be wrong. Always check reviews. And always use caution when choosing medical professionals. Dental board not doing enough to protect consumers from such criminals.
