Dr. Alexander Blake Hardwick, MD

I needed a pre-operative cardiac assessment before surgery for a brain tumor. My regular cardiologist in had left the Central Coast and I was unable to schedule an appointment with any other local practitioner. I turned to Cottage Health in Santa Barbara and Dr. Hardwick was the first available cardiologist so I accepted the appointment. I am so glad I did. Dr. Hardwick was thorough and attentive. He provided follow up with the written summary being sent to the Bay Area hospital promptly so that the surgery could be scheduled. I was also impressed with Cottage Health from the first point of contact with scheduling and preparation for the appointment through the medical evaluation. Great job. The doctor and staff gained my confidence.

I have had one consultation with Dr. Hardwick to follow up on a procedure I had the year before to correct an arrhythmia. He spent almost an hour with me, listening, informing and engaging. I have had more negative experiences with doctors than I care to remember so I am thrilled to be under the care of someone who cares deeply and is highly competent. Highly recommended.
