Dr. Histov is aweful very evasive lacks bedside manner does not explain anything he could clearly see that I was visibly in distress and despite telling him I was in the process of looking for a primary he refused to give me a note to be excused from work. I was severely bloated and uncomfortable and expressed that to him nearly in tears and he tells his nurse to tell me no he won't give me a note and to adk my primary. As a Registered Nurse for 18years and current nurse practitioner I was both disgusted and outraged! However because I really needed to get to the bottom of things against my judgment I allowed him to do my endoscopy. Again he never explained the procedure and was very evasive about his findings creating further anxiety in an already stressful situation. Nothing about him felt special I felt like I was bothering him due to the clear look of resting irritation on his face. He said he would follow up with me in a week with my results. Nearly 2 weeks later I messaged him… because there were no updates. His nurse responded stating she would reach out to him. My results came back today and still no response from him. I will be seeking care elsewhere. I truly would not recommend this doctor to anyone. Illinois masonic was clean custer service friendly, nurses were stellar ... Dr. Histov zero stars!!!!!
