Alexander A. Khalessi, MD

Very rushed. Walked in 30 min late with a coffee mug. Was more focused on the coffee than me. Used the phrase "I am the best surgeon in California". His PA didn't answer an important question. I have lodged a complaint with the Medical Board

I was extremely disappointed with this surgeon. I found him to be an extremely poor listener with little to no bedside manner; both major negatives for any physician.

He came across as very rushed and didn't listen to my concerns.

I had two craniotomies to treat a very rare cerebrovascular disease that causes stroke--Moyamoya Disease. Dr. Khalessi is a very busy guy but he took the time to ensure I was properly diagnosed and treated. He along with Dr. Carter performed one of my surgeries. It takes a long time to get an appointment with him and he was very rushed in seeing me.

Khalessi is bar none one of the best neuro surgeon's in the nation. I have been with him twice under critical circumstances. Khalessi and his team did an amazing job diagnossing, putting a plan together and executing. I'm still alive and I owe it to Dr. Alex Khalessi. He's a busy guys, know this going in. Don't think you can drop by and get a quick consult. Once you get in though you will quickly see his years of education and experience is the best and cutting edge.
