Dr. Alexander Thomas Kim

I’m surprised at the reviews. Dr Kim performed previous root canals for both my husband and myself with fantastic results. I went back to him for another tooth that I was sure would be another root canal and after evaluating it he recommended some other treatments and took time to explain everything thoroughly when he could have just performed the expensive procedure. Appreciate his care and concern and the fact he’s not all about the $!

I experienced what appears to be extensive nerve damage associated with the administration of anesthesia after a procedure by Dr. Kim to repair a cracked tooth. So far, (two month's later) both my sense of taste and the feeling on one side of my tongue remain very much diminished. I was advised by another dentist that if this is the case in another month's time, then the chances of full recovery also begin to diminish. There was no discussion prior to the procedure informing me that this was even remotely a possibility. Moreover, I also learned that there are options for anesthetizing the area associated with the risk of this side-effect of which Dr. Kim never informed me. I was never informed of choices. This experience is heart rending. I definitely do not recommend Dr. Kim.

didn't even see this endodontist.....he worked at dr lawrence gilbert's office (retired...thank god): dr gilbert told me i needed 2 root canals because my roots changed? he left a "note" for the endodontist (dr kim) to look at my xrays. the next day the secretary called me and told me that dr kim said i needed 2 root canals, without examining my teeth?? i saw another endodontist a month later in westchester ny and he said i did not need any root canals and you can't tell if someone needs any root canals by their roots "changing" wth....this was 4 years ago.
