Excellent Physician with great communication skills

Dr Kuo might be a good surgeon. But he lacks compassion in any sense of the word and has no bedside manner at all. I went into my follow up visit knowing my test results were trending well and were as "normal" as can be expected. I was feeling optimistic regarding my progress. That was soon dashed by Dr Kuo who instead focused more on negatives of theoretical outcomes rather than the positive progress that I had made in short time. He summed up my visit saying "well, you're not going to die in 90 days". I left the visit depressed and questioning my life beyond 3 months time. Moreover I began to question all my efforts to better my situation and achieve the good test results that I had been seeing. I Am beginning the search for new care.

I always feel I get the best possible care from Dr. Kuo and his staff.
