Dr. Lerman prescribed tried a wide variety of drugs on me when I was 13-17, some which were just off the market and later had deleterious effects. I don't feel like I was properly informed about them, and then later as an adult returning for treatment about 15 years later, he prescribed a low dose of Seroquel, which if I had taken for anxiety at work (as suggested), would have rendered me unconscious for 4 hours as it did when I took it in my home, alone. He told me I reminded him of the Dora case and that he had failed me as a youth, saying that he experienced what's known as countertransference. Although he tried to be supportive and offered unconventional and creative insights my memory of him falling asleep at sessions when I was a kid, is unforgettable and unforgivable. He offered me a discount as an adult but when he switched locations, the front desk told me that he had taken me on as a charity case and couldn't treat me anymore. I'm sure he's make a good fit for someone seeking… medication and he appears to genuinely want to help but he has also treated 2 friends of mine that sadly ended their lives. Of course, that should not be any reflection of his treatment as a whole. On a positive note, my treatment with him was long, consistent and formative.

Dont waste your time. Hes compassionless.

Never returned phone calls or emails, even though voice message (which you will always get when you call) says you can expect a call within 48 hours it does not happen. Then, when you cannot reach him to schedule an appointment, he blames you for waiting so long between appointments. My impression is he is too busy to properly treat his patients.
