Dr. Alexander Nelson Myers, MD

My mother passed away last September, Dr. Myers saw her on several occasions when she was in the hospital. He treated her poorly and he could never just speak to my mother regarding her condition however, he could speak with my mother regarding her DNR and verifying it was up to date. My father was in the hospital over the weekend. My father is very independent and does things his way. This proposed an issue for Dr. Myers as he did not know how to handle the situation with my father. On his release my father's cardiac Doctor specifically gave my father a medication and told him how to take it. When we picked up the medication from the pharmacy Dr. Myers had doubled what my father was taking in the hospital and what his Cardiologist had told him to take. Once again Dr. Myers could not speak to father regarding his condition, when Dr. Myers visited my father he could not get out of the room fast enough. Dr. Myers maybe a good doctor with younger people but he is horrible with… geriatric patients and patients who are dying. I would not recommend Dr. Myers to anyone and the next time my father is in the hospital we will request someone else.
