I've never met such a wonderful psychiatrist: knowledgeable, considerate and effective in treatment.

Amazing to find a psychiatrist who is generous with his time, EVERY visit, who LISTENS, takes notes & REMEMBERS the next time you see him and does NOT push drugs.His English is excellent, but he is not able to treat patients with hypnotherapy in a language other than Russian, due to the limitations of his technical language ability in English. He speaks Armenian also.

Dr. Niss is one of the best Psychiatrists I've ever seen. He doesn't rush you out the door, he spends 20-30 minutes with you. He prescribes medication only when necessary and describes the pros and cons of the meds so you can choose to take it or not. The office staff isn't too friendly but they get their job done. The waiting room is pretty small because it is also used for another doctors patients as well.There is plenty of FREE PARKING, yes I said free parking. I highly recommend Dr. Niss to anyone looking for a GREAT Psychiatrist.

Dr. Niss is psychoanalytically oriented and unfortunately carries the burden of the medical model sociologically.
