Dr. Post completed his General Surgery internship at Fletcher Allen Health Care of the University of Vermont School of Medicine, his Neurosurgery residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center of New York University, and his Pediatric Neurosurgery fellowship at Children%u2019s Memorial Hospital of Northwestern University. Prior to joining New Jersey Pediatric Neurosurgical Associates he served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurosurgery at George Washington University, School of Medicine and Health Sciences and Assistant Professor, Department of Neurosciences, Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Medicine, Inova Campus. He was Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery for the Inova Regional Neurosurgery Service and was both cofounder and codirector of the systemwide Inova Health System Concussion Program. He has been active in teaching neurosurgical residents and medical students as well as mentoring college and graduate-level students interested in the disciplines of medicine and …neurosurgery. He is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS). He has lectured on multiple topics including mild traumatic brain injury / concussions, severe traumatic brain injury from accidental and nonaccidental trauma, craniosynostosis and neuroendoscopy. Dr. Post evaluates and treats pediatric neurosurgical disorders of the brain, spine and peripheral nerves including traumatic brain injury, perinatal hemorrhage and hydrocephalus, tumors and vascular malformations, craniosynostosis and Chiari malformations, spina bifida and myelomeningocele and surgery for seizures. Dr. Post%u2019s areas of special interest include craniofacial disorders and neurotrauma. Utilizing his undergraduate training in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University he has additional interests in the design and improvement of medical instrumentation.
