Dr. Shapsis helped me through a terribly complicated and difficult gallbladder surgery and recovery. He was thorough, informative, optimistic, and made me feel that I was in safe hands. He was also able to diagnosis my problems when countless others doctors could not. He really is an expert in his craft. Also, excellent bedside manner! I couldn't ask for more in a doctor!

I just can't believe it's happening today in the dr offices....First, it took more than 3 weeks to get my blood test results. Phlebotomyist Natalia lied to me all the time, i had to call every day, she has always forgotten about me, promised to call back then never called. After I finally reached her, transferred me to PA, who barely knows anything in the area. The doctor himself never called me back though and was out of reach every time I called. My first and the last time I have visited this office.

I had to be seen by a liver specialist and was referred to Dr. Shapsis by my family doctor. I checked him out on-line prior to making an appointment and after seeing many great reviews I made an appointment... and I was not disappointed. Dr. Shapsis is a very energetic, optimistic and reassuring doctor. I felt that he spent a long time with me, going over some lab tests that I brought with me. He even made it a point to call my doctor in front of me to verify some medical information. He then explained my condition to me in very simple terms and proposed a treatment plan, which sounded very acceptable to me. I recommend Dr. Shapsis to anyone in need of a liver specialist.

Years ago when I had a hepmorroidal problem I went to see Dr. Alexander Shapsis. He's in Brighton Beach on Ocean Parkway and Neptune, but he's worth the trek! In my opinion he's among the best doctors in the city. Young, exceptionally intelligent and well trained, amazing with patients, listens well, takes notes ( so you'd better remember what you told him!)

I was very happy with the care provided at this clinic. Easy appointment, pleasant staff and a very helpful and compassionate doctor. Would definately recommend.

He helped me a lot - very quick diagnosis and treatment. All problems resolved.
