Dr. Alexander R Smythe, MD

Dr. Smythe is the most amazing doctor I have ever seen. I was told that I wouldn't be able to have children and at 39 I became pregnant and was sent to Dr. Smythe because he handled high risk pregnancy. He was wonderful to me. After 2 children I am still seeing Dr. Smythe and would never consider changing doctors.

Dr. Smythe is one of the best doctors ever! I have been going to him for about 10 years and will continue! I drive over an hour for my appointment. These days, it's hated to find a knowledgable, caring doctor who listens to you and tries to do all he can to help. Dr. Smythe does all of these things and more.

I have been Dr. Smythe's patient for over 25 years. He is a very fine doctor and has listened to all of my concerns over the years. Quite honestly it amazes me that a man can understand as much as he does about how a woman feels when she has pain from fibroids and endometriosis, or get's kind of crazy because of PMDD. I wish I could see him for everything. Yes sometimes you have to wait in the office. It might be because he just delivered a baby(yes one time I saw him coming back from the hospital still in his scrubs) or worked in a patient having issues. I am willing to wait under those circumstances. I also just love Roxanne. She is great and always puts you at ease.

I have been a patient of Dr. Smythe's for over 25 years. He is wonderful! Easy to talk to, never rushes me and accurate diagnosis.

This was years ago and dr scythe was not my main dr. I was 20 years old and 12 weeks pregnant and was going through the "rotation" of seeing all of the drs in the practice. I was alone in the room with him and he examined me. When I left the exam room I noticed immediate cramping. A couple days later I called complaining and they saw me immediately saying they could not find any problems. The next night I was still cramping and also started bleeding. I called for then on call drand of course it was dr smythe. When he returned my call from being paged he said "unless you are passing gold ball size placenta you are juat fine" while im crying in pain on the phone with him. I get to the hospital and miscaried at 13 weeks and still to this day I look back at the day he examined me and I juat know something wasn't right. I was a single scared young soon to be mother and he treated me as though I was nobody and should not be there and when he examined me I remember the pain I felt afterward… and in my gut I think he initially caused all the problems that led to my miscarriage. After this all happened I heard from a nurse that worked in the hospital he had beensued quite a few times. I would reccomend RRUNNING from this doctor and think that he is the worst. The rest of the drs in the practice seemed nice but the fact that at some point you may have to deal with this terrible dr is just terrible and the experience I had with him...8 years later...still haunts me
