Lacks clinical skills, judgement, proper planning, emergency management and ....ethics. Unusually high On-Table complications, conceals intraoperative injuries and life-threatening mistakes requiring multiple blood transfusions during and after extended surgery which took triple the time it was supposed to due to multiple major complications unrelated to patient health including multiple lacerations of retroperitoneal organs, colon and lacerating the Aorta causing massive life threatening hemorrhage on the table for hours then Dr Theologis had improperly seated both lumbar cages and collapsed spine crushing spinal nerve roots and paralyzing both legs upon repositioning and performing the posterior fixation rods and pedicle screws leaving permanent paralysis of leg that had no motor weakness at all pre-op and improperly sized cages were ejected anteriorly pushing out titanium endplates and loosened screw head in contact with Aorta and Iliac Arteries of which leaves patien at a VERY… high risk of Sudden Death via arterial wall damage/rupture from pulsing up against metal edges sticking out of spine and he CHOSE NOT TO REMOVE OR REPOSITION dangerously malpositioned hardware also at EMERGENCY TAKE BACK SURGERY just hours after all day badly complicated surgery and chose NOT TO INFORM PATIENT OF SUCH DEADLY COMPLICATIONS AND RESULTING LEVEL OF HIGH RISK OF AORTIC/ARTERIAL RUPTURE AS A LATE POST OP COMPLICATION AT ALL and misrepresented extent of injuries caused by his incredibly poor clinical skills, planning and judgement.....but the constant lies, lack of any personal response and lack of post op imaging with contrast to not demonstrate organ and vascular injuries and neuromonitoring logs and test results that have all gone missing from medical charts is simply horrifying ...

My mother is 82 years old. She was very fortunate to have a Dr. Theologis as her spine surgeon. She had a lot a complications, no because his performance. Her age and sone other health issues showed up after surgery, but even though this was not his responsibility no more. He was always involved and supported. I can honestly said that if it was not for him we won’t have my mother with us. He has the heart and the knowledge. He is just wonderful, I can only rate him with 5 stars, but I believe he deserve all the stars in the word.
