Dr. Alexander Dominicus Zwart, MD

Dr. Zwart has been my endo for 20yrs... for good reason!! He is timely with appointments, thorough, and has a great bed side manner. The office is efficient and effective, too.

Knows very little about treatments for male hormone problems. VERY disappointed.

I have gone to Dr. Zwart for 9 years and found him to be highly knowledgeable of endocrine problems and the treatment available. He is aware of the latest information that is out there and willing to explain it to the patient.

Over more than 16 years Dr. Zwart has been my endocrinologist, I believe he's a very knowledgeable physician, thoughtful and personable as well. He takes unhurried time with me during my appointments, is thorough, takes time to answer and explain when I asked questions. I appreciate him and his care and certainly recommend him to everyone who needs an endocrinologist.

Dr. Zwart listen to me and my concerns. He seemed to be very knowledgable about the variety of treatments available, put forth pros and cons about each one and then explained in very understandable terms why he wanted me on the specific treatment he was recommending. I appreciated this information so that I felt I could make an informed choice. He was straightforward and professional with the information and not condescending at all.

Dr Zwart is detail oriented and organized. His office staff is uncaring, rude, and incompetent. Office is shabby and cluttered. Not impressive at all, ute doctor seems good after only knew visit.

Very curtiously dismissed all my wonky hormones in the labs as just stress (DHEA, testosterone, progesterone all very low). Refused to treat a TSH of 5, will only treat if TSH > 7, regardless of what symptoms you have. Not interested in helping you solve the problem at all. Oh, and then charged me for a 1-hour consult even though I spent maybe 15 minutes talking to him (and he obviously didn't review my chart beforehand, since he didn't even know what I was there to see him about and didn't look at my labs until he was in the room with me).

Dr Zwart is one of the most knowledgable medical personel I hasve ever met. After my 50+ years of insulin dependent diabetic experience, he still comes up with insights and reassurances and ideas that make visiting him a positive experience every time. He always has time to listen and his office staff is more than friendly and efficient. I have recommended him successfully to several friends.

He doesn't listen to you, he's condescending, and he will tell you that NOTHING is related to your thyroid. He also suggested I go do legwork that his office staff should be doing. One visit is enough. HE STINKS.
