Dr. Alexandra Isa Asrow, MD

I saw Dr. Asrow in the ER and I must say, she has absolutely no "Bedside Manner" and is extremely aggressive. To explain my story for you, I am 32 years old, have been super healthy all of my life. I have been a personal athletic trainer and a Vegan dietitian for 8 years and a martial artist and an athlete my whole life. I have been Vegan for 13 years and have not been sick a day since then. I am healthier, stronger and know more about nutrition than 99% of the doctors I have seen this past year and a half. You see, I was rear ended last year very badly. Before getting hit and having all of these injuries, I was always healthy, never went to doctors, never had any aliment a day in my life, whether mental or physical. I would never go to any doctor, never needed to. I do not appreciate doctors acting like someone is crazy because they have been to the doctor many times. I am extremely offended and insulted by their behavior towards people. If doctors were more diligent, knew more and… thought outside of the box, a patient would not have to come 100 times. Our "Traditional western medicine approach is horrible." It is too bad all the Vegan doctors who are friends of mine, do not live near me. I take charge of my own health and am my own advocate. I have been mistreated by many doctors since my car accident. I always knew the system was very broken and never needed it. This doctor was the worst!! No warmth or friendliness in him at all... I believe everyone in the world should be good to all people and warm regardless of who they are. Out of all people, especially doctors need to possess this component, this characteristic. They should be warm, caring, compassionate people who patients feel they can confide, trust, depend and go to when they need care. She does not have any compassion and she needs to learn how to deal with people, how to treat them. The medical system needs to understand, when people are coming into your emergency room, they are walking in distress. The Emergency Room in the last place they wish to be in, it is not their ideal place to visit. They need comfort, care and love, not your judgement. I feel doctors, nurses, technicians and front desk staff alike, must possess warm, care, love and non judgement. When my doctor is not available, immediate care is not open, I have no other choice, that is why I am here. You think I want to be in the ER? That I desire to spend my money on garbage treatment? Receive a bill higher than the sky for nothing accomplished? Especially during the Coronavirus pandemic in regards to both, financially and the associated risks of contracting it in your facility, my health. I suggest you get a different job, you are in the wrong field. Come on man, get a heart & soul. I believe people need Jesus Christ in your life.. You need to learn how to love one another.

It took 3 1/2 hours for this Doctor to see my father for 3min. She did absolutely nothing, never once did anyone in the ER staff address my father by his name or last name, nor did they verify if he was the correct patient. The ER RN Sandy used excuses why it took 3 hours for anyone to come in and see my father, she and the doctor were beyond rude. These two individuals should not be in the medical field considering lack of compassion for people that are ill. Dr. Asgrow had the rn provide exuses for her sitting at by her desk top. The Er was not full but regardless people do not come to an emergency room because they are well, they come because this was the last resort. I will never come to this ER again.. it's better to suffer at home then to be at the mercy of this Doctor.

Simply put, Dr. Asrow brought our father back from a massive heart attack, and saved his life. Despite our extreme stress, Dr. Asrow kept us constantly updated, explaining everything that was happening to him procedurally. She was incredibly reassuring, and truly cared for our father's wellbeing, traits often lacking in his previous physicians. All to often, people only post comments to complain, but my family and I wish to thank Dr. Asrow for her care and service in a true emergency.

Just because she remembered a few facts and passed a few tests doesn't mean this person should be allowed around patients. In fact when I went to the ER and this doctor didn't know how to diagnose me, so she started making me feel bad about being sick. She then lectured me that ERs were only for specific situations and if my life wasn't threatened not to come back. Turns out I had the flu and was in need of dire help! But it was the beginning and my symptoms were vague, however a fever of 104 degrees should have been enough to get help. I was told take Tylenol, lectured some more and released. This doctor is on a high horse and looks down at everyone, with a cold heart.

While searching for another doctor, I saw this one and had to say something. If this doctor is the one you get in the ER, either request another doctor or leave immediately and go somewhere else. My daughter was having severe stomach pain, this doctor spent less than 3 mins with us and asked almost no questions. She walked out after saying "I'm sure it's nothing but I'll order some tests and go from there. 45 mins later and no tests done I asked a nurse passing by who said she had no orders from the doctor but she'd ask. I watched as the nurse talked to her and the doctor sighed heavily as if we were interrupting her evening. The nurse came back and asked my daughter how she was feeling , and she was in tears by this point. The nurse took some blood tests and another hour of nothing until the nurse came in and said everything looked ok, gave us a prescription for Nexium and sent us home. I took my daughter to another hospital and it was a cute appendicitis which required surgery. As I… said above if this is the doctor you should leave and go elsewhere.

This doctor has no care or concern for patients. She is in and out of the room even if ER was not busy. I saw her giggling on the phone while my daughter was very ill, she saw my daughter for maybe 3 minutes and the nurse had to go ask for basic tests.
