Dr. Alexandra Jhon Meloccaro, MD

Dr. Meloccaro is the worst! I was about two to three months pregnant when I began experiencing bleeding. Over the course of a month, I called Dr. Meloccaro’s office multiple times to report that the bleeding was worsening. Despite my concerns, she did nothing and repeatedly reassured me that everything was fine. During several of my routine check-ups, it was clear she had no idea who I was or what symptoms I had reported. I had to remind her how far along I was in my pregnancy and what medications she had prescribed. It became evident that she wasn’t reviewing my information before entering the room, which made me feel like she didn’t care. By the end of my third month, the bleeding became significantly heavier. When I called the office again, they still insisted it was normal. I demanded an appointment, and during that visit, I expressed my concern that the bleeding didn’t seem normal. She performed an ultrasound but once again reassured me that everything was fine. Later, I found… out she had performed the ultrasound under another patient’s name. Her solution was to cut out the other patient’s information and hand me the ultrasound picture—an action that felt highly unprofessional. Two days later, at 4 a.m., I tragically miscarried at almost four months pregnant. I immediately called her office, and the nurse instructed me to bed rest, relax, and drink water. She also said it wasn’t necessary to go to the ER but that I could if I really wanted to. This advice felt completely inappropriate, given that I was actively miscarrying and covered in blood. Trusting my instincts, I went to the ER instead of following their advice. I received proper care and attention at the ER, despite my heartbreak, and I am so glad I didn’t listen to the nurse's suggestion to just rest at home. I met with Dr. Meloccaro the next day, and she seemed surprised that the miscarriage had occurred. I was devastated because I had informed her about the bleeding for almost two months, and she had taken no steps to address it—no proper checks, no urgency. Following the miscarriage, I signed an agreement for testing to be done on our baby to understand what had happened. Dr. Meloccaro told me the results would take two weeks to a month. It has now been over six months, and I still haven’t received the report. This was a horrific experience that left me with a permanent hole in my heart. I lost my baby and deeply regret not having a doctor who truly cared and took my concerns seriously.

When I had an appointment with Meloccaro they were very snarky and condescending.

Alex literally saved my life....enough said. She’s so reassuring and calmed me and my loved one through every step of the procedure. I can’t recommend any other any doctor in Wichita. She’s the best.

My wife had surgery with Dr. Meloccaro as the attending physician today. My wife was released at 1:39am. My wife was given oxycodone at release. Walgreens across the street from Wesley is the only 24 he. pharmacy in Wichita. They we're out of the oxycodone, so I went back to Wesley to get a different pain med. Dr. Meloccaro must either get a kick back from oxycodone or don't care if her patients have pain. Because she said no way I'm giving any other pain med to her and sent her home. I could understand if there was another pharmacy that would fill this perscription at 1:30am. This was explained to her and the answer was NO.
