Dr. Alexandra Love Migdal, MD

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 1999 and have been on Armour Thyroid for the last 7 years. I took in 6 years of bloodwork (Excel) for my initial appointment. Dr. Migdal told me she didn't like Armour Thyroid because the dosages were inconsistent. She insisted I change to Levothyroxine and Cytomel. I told her I was prescribed Synthroid (name brand) and Cytomel when I was diagnosed and those products did not help with my symptoms. Also, I did not want to change due to neurological issues for which I am being treated by a Neurologist at UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL. She informed me she would not write the prescription for Armour Thyroid. I told her once again I preferred not to change because the 6 years of thyroid numbers were balanced and I am feeling the best I have felt since being diagnosed with hypothyroidism. asked her, "you will not write the prescription for me to continue to take Armour Thyroid?". She said, "No!" I got up and left!

Doctor Migdal incarnates excellence. I had the honor of having her as my endocrinologist for two years at BIDMC in Boston, and I believe her expertise probably saved my life. After years of struggling with my thyroid, she found out what it was wrong. Dr. Migdal is very caring, her bedside manners are exceptional. I'm sad seeing her leaving BIDMC in Boston after her residency was completed, to work in other state. I recommend this great doctor to anybody who appreciates excellence, caring, great medical knowledge in a professional endocrinologist. Thanks, Dr. Migdal

Dr. Alexandra Migdal is an excellent endocrinologist, very knowledgeable, extremely caring, great listener, very respectful/ She stabilized my thyroid problem finding the cause of my problem. She goes the extra mile. Outstanding medical doctor I trust totally. I wish every physician was like her.
