Dr. Alexandre Rocha Abreu, MD

After thirteen years of misdiagnosis from teams of doctors, I found Dr. Abreu and his team at UM hospital. My symptoms did not quite fit the more common presentations. I can not thank Dr Abreu enough for taking the time and consideration to properly diagnose me after years of feeling helpless. His knowledge and expertise is unprecedented. Imagine my surprise when he had a bedside manner to match!

If you read just the positive reviews, please notice that the comments are subject commits about the doctor looks, smile knowledge, blah,blah,blah. BE WARNED! Try calling his office. NEVER does a person pick up the phone. It goes to a recording that asks the caller to leave a message and wait up to three days before hearing back. The appointment are at least four months apart. He may be an authority on sleep apnea, but this is no way to run an office. I suggest he lower his patient load and enjoy his lecturing.

Waited 4 month to have an appointment to see the doctor for 5 minutes then waited 3 month for a sleep study, then 4 months to see Doctor Abreu . I cannot recommend this doctor and his lack of communication.

Avoid this thief. He is not academic doctors , he doesn’t know medicine and misdiagnoses patients on routine basis. He will find a way to find new diseases and conditions that you DONT HAVE in order to keep you coming to his office. He will literally make up diseases and conditions for his patients and then unnecessarily force them to see him to schedule appointment his colleagues fiends in the hospital so they can make more money . WOULD NOT RECCOMNED !!

This guy is a huge scammer. Avoid his clinic unless you want to be trapped in a sea of pain and economic costs. He will literally ruin your life when it comes to money and will create a flurry of unecesarry costs and misdiagnose people on a regular basis. He isn’t one of he most dishonest doctors I have ever met and hides his scamming with a fake smile that he camoiflages with complex made up medical terms that aren’t even relevant. My cousins got misdiagnosed by dr Abreu and a year later suffered a stroke because of the lack ignoras treatments and poor meds he gave him. Personally I had a horrible experience and he literally stole $14,000 dollar from me in what amounted to a couple of sleep studies and unnecessary treatments with his doctor friends /colleagues from who he takes a cut. He is one of the fakest, most intellectually dishonest clinicians I have e ever met and still managed to get awards based solely on how good he is at manipulation and hiding his real agenda which is… nothing more than MAKING MONEY. He doesn’t care about his patients , just wants to extract as many dollars as possible and leave them in a worse position than hey were when they Camembert in as this helps him keep patients thinking they need his services. Avoid this scammer at all costs and do not pay the ridiculous $7000 fee for his scam sleep studies.

The billing procedures are very extreme. The people who do the billing at the sleep center our outrageous. These comments about the administrative aspects of this doctor 's practice. I have nothing to say one way the other about the doctor as a physician

I go to Dr. Abreu for my sleep disorder. Very patience, very understanding , and very professional . Makes you feel relaxed and comfortable . Always with a smile. His staff are courteous and there to support you in any issuer you may have. Love my doctor.

Dr Abreu is one of the most amazing & caring doctors I've ever met. He really loves his job. I met him in a Critical Care setting and he was very honest, upfront & sincere, but he was the only one who gave me hope. My husband is on earth today thanks to this Dr. Thank you Dr. Abreu.

Judging by site, this doctor looks young. I tend to like older docs because I feel they have more experience. Dr. Abreu taught me a lessons... he knows his stuff! He's very knowledgeable and not bad on the eys at all. He proved to me that some young docs are open to the latest meds, procedures, etc. I know that is true because lots of the older docs tend to stick with their way of treatment and aren't as open.
