Dr. Alexandre A Fleury

I am extremely dissatisfied with the services of Dr Alexandre Fleury and Endodontic Associates of Plano. I made an appointment with them specifically as a Network provider with my insurance company. I stressed that I wanted a Network doctor and they assured me Dr. Fleury was in network and I would receive network benefits. They contacted my insurance company in advance to verify my dental coverage I completed routine forms in advance. When I arrived for my appointment confirmed that they had verified my insurance but did not inform me of any problems. They charged me $249.00 for “my share” of the cost. Later I learned that was the full cost of the procedure because it was not covered by my insurance. They learned it was not covered when they verified my coverage but never informed me. Under the network benefit agreement the provider cannot pass those costs on to the network patient. One of the provisions on the forms was an agreement to pay for charges not reimbursed by insurance. I… assumed that meant in accordance with Network rules. They argued that I agreed to pay even though the Network rules said they cannot charge me. This is dishonest and deceitful. They sign a Network agreement but then have patients sign an agreement that they say negates the benefits they contracted to provide. This is a bait and switch tactic. They agree to the Network benefit provisions, are advertised by the insurance company as Network provider and assure potential patient that they are providing network providers and benefits. They choose not to tell the patient about known issues so the patient could make other arrangements if they chose to, they discuss network benefits while having the patient sign agreements they later say negate those network benefits. They collect the “excess” charges in advance. There is not any honest communication about the charges or effective non-work coverage. I feel Dr Fleury and Endodontic Associates of Plano deceived me and violated the network agreement they signed with my insurance company. I am filing a complaint with my insurance company and will ask that they be removed from the list of network providers as they DO NOT provide network benefits. Their business practices are deceitful in order to gain referrals of network patient but collect as much money as they can. I do not recommend Endodontics Associates of Plano or Dr Alexandre Fleury. They will mislead you, withhold information and leave you with a higher than expected bill. Money appears to be more important than honesty or integrity.
