Dr. Alexandre W. Huin, MD

He is an affable doctor. I am a patient who is self reliant on my healthcare. That being said, I am flexible as to my choice of physicians. Although I do have preferences. I was seeing Dr. David Klein, who has since retired. He is the best doctor that I've ever had in my 74 years. He reminds me of my Dad in so many ways. So, if you are seeing this, and I hope are, Thank you, kind sir. has since retired.

Dr. Huin has been my physician for the past ten years. He is one of those rare doctors who really care. He has been effective in attending to my healthcare, as well as guiding me with information to help myself. It really is a team effort. Thank you so very much Dr. Huin.

I went to see Dr Huin for some digestive problems. I waited in the room for about 45 minutes before the Dr came. The visit was very smooth and fast. It lasted 6/7 minutes. He asked me a question. He made a prescription and a referral for a GI. He charged me as high complex visit for the amount of $318. I repeatedly asked why the high charge, but nobody in the office provide a good explanation or was helpful. Overall I am very disappointed. The facility and the Dr did not meet any of my expectations.

Huin missed an obvious but fatal disease in my close friend, who had seen Huin for years. By the time Huin noticed something wrong, it was too late for even the expert specialists at Duke Hospital to save my buddy. Extremely sad.

Long wait time, and Huin couldn't seem to care less about my health concerns. Cursory physical exam and unclear next steps. I'm switching to another doctor.

I have in the last 6 months seen Dr. Huin for back problems. I have been a patient of his for at least 5 years. He was very little help and rude. Basically, he would ask me what I wanted him to do. I feel he treated me this way due to I requested something for pain. The medication offered, I was concerned would interfere with my seizure medication. Bottom line is that my back pain was a UTI that went untreated. I now have changed to a new Primary Care Physician.

I feel like I am part of a partnership with Dr. Huin about my health.

Dr. Huin is a rare doctor who is up on the most recent medical literature, listens to patient concerns, and accommodates patient needs and recommendations. He is not threatened by knowledgeable patients and welcomes input in the decisionmaking process. He explains everything thoroughly as long as you ask. I've been through many doctors in my life, but none can compare to Dr. Huin. I really can't say enough good things about this man. He spends 30-45 minutes with me at minimum and never makes me feel rushed. I highly recommend Dr. Huin.

Dr Huin has been my son;s and my GP for about 4 years. He has been very helpful in diagnosing or getting support in diagnosing some difficult problems. He is willing to listen to patient concerns, and even consider thir opinions about possible diagnosis. He is also genuinely nice.
