Alfonso Hernandez JR., PA-C

Alfonso Hernandez, PA-C is nationally certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and board certified by the Board of Medicine in Idaho. He was raised in Southeastern Idaho and graduated from Blackfoot High School. Upon graduation, Alfonso was recruited to wrestle for the University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY; as a student athlete, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. As a graduate, he serves as an assistant wrestling coach for the University of Wyoming for two years before going on to earn an MS in Physician Assistant Studies at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. It was the “hands on” patient care and challenge that drew him to general surgery. He met his wife, Stephanie, in high school. Together they have three sons: Aiden, Madden, and Paxton. His passion outside of family and patient care is the sport of wrestling; he stays involved with the sport by volunteering time to club and high school wrestling programs. …Additionally, he enjoys fishing, hiking, mountain biking and conversing with others.
