Alfred Joseph Sadek Beshai

Dr. Beshai was referred to my husband by our GP. He was experiencing severe back pain. Dr. Beshai recommended an epidural which he said he couldn't perform for 2 weeks because he had to get authorization. This is not true, authorization can be obtained after a procedure when necessary. He saw Dr. Beshai for about 5 minutes. His assistant was who we spoke with. My husband was in so much pain we decided to pay for the procedure and be reimbursed later by the insurance company. When we tried to get reimbursed the insurance company needed certain paperwork from Dr. Beshai, but he REFUSED to provide it. We don't know why, except he charged us the non-insurance rate, which is twice as much as insurance would have paid him. He would not speak with us or respond to our emails. He had his "staff" tell us that he would not respond. We had to have our GP provide the paperwork. It took us 4 months to be reimbursed half of what Dr. Beshai charged us. Choose a different doctor.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to this doctor. Unless, he can administer an expensive x-ray guided steroid injection and bill your insurance upwards of $2,000 for each injection, he won't be interested in you. He also won't give you advice on medicines or techniques minimize your pain in between visits and he does NOT like to be questioned. If he does give you any pain medication, it will not be prescribed in an adequate strength nor will you be give enough to deal with your pain. For instance, if you cannot walk (read limping badly and in real pain with every step) he may prescribe tramadol and tell you to take it as needed, however, he will only give you 30 pills. He will also want to count your pills at visits. You will be treated with indifference by his staff when you call the office and your needs will not be made a priority. He also doesn't pay attention to what you put in written questionnaires or communicate to him verbally as was evidenced when I obtained my records from his… office after asking my neurologist to refer me to another pain management doctor. The inaccuracies in my records were disturbing and numerous. As it turns out, his failing to warn me about the dangers of the dosage of NSAIDs (Ibuprofen) I was taking (because he never offered me any other options or discouraged their use in the amount I was taking) caused me to suffer some esophageal symptoms that could have jeopardized my upcoming surgery had I not figured out what was going on and told by neurosurgeon about it.

He helped my mum like no one else. Thank you Dr.

The setup is write, you think common sense, right? No it is not..!!! This office knows how to take care of human beings rather than numbers and a name on their schedule. You cannot go wrong.
