Dr. Alfred Dwain Harding JR., MD

This doctor has the worst bed side manner. I had a surgery done by him he said a couple of hours which I realize you never know if there are other complications so it can always take longer. However, he never checked in with my family and when the surgery was completed. He came out but rather than immediately going to my family he was speaking with colleagues about his baby grand piano that was being delivered to his house that week!! I have no trust with this doctor I believe the best interest is for himself and certainly not the patients. There is no time spent with you to make you feel comfortable he doesn’t like to be questioned. With these kind of surgeries everyone has questions. Even after the surgery having to see him in the hospital was the worst he’d walk in take a peek and walk out. I timed him during one of the checks while in the hospital and it was under three minutes!!! His bank account is more important than the patient. If you have been referred to this group… do some investigating and see what other vascular doctors are available.

Well just heard of another patient of his loosing his leg!,, don't let this doctor operate on you! It won't let you leave site unless you click at least one star beleive me he does not deserve a star!

Never would choose this doctor he is not concerned with his patients. I beleive it is all for money. I almost lost my leg because of him. He never checked on me after surgery or returned calls when nurses tried to contact him. He has never checked or apologized for a messed up surgery. I know he had a severe accident with a patient before me. If you need a artery cleared do not use him find another surgeon! He does not deserve a positive rating!

First try for surgery he had emergency I laid in holding g 12 hours to find out he forgot about me . Stupid me set up a 2nd surgery I almost lost my entire leg because icu could not get a response from him for three hours. Recover closed and I got parked in ER in a gown and iv. Uf Shands came to my rescue saved my life and leg. I had a blood clot in my artery that he did not close off. Can't figure how he pratices. He has a terrible attitude along with his associates. Do not go to him if you are going to need treatment by surgery. ,

Doctor Harding is a very good Doctor I go back to him as many times as needed: However his Billing Department think they are the gods they have the power that says who sees the doctor and who don't. So if something happens and you get behind on your bill forget ever seeing any doctor in this practice: Of course this will come back on them one day: If I loose any more of my leg because of this.....They think they are doctors with no degree

arrogantand awful bedside manor

Kathy who set my appointment was beyond pleasant she was helpful, kind, and provided great service. The morning of my appointment I called ahead to see if Dr. Harding was running on time. The desk said yes. I checked in at 11:10am for a 11:20am appt. I had all my paperwork completed. At the reception desk at 12noon I asked how much longer was the wait. I was told he was running behind by about an hour. I asked why I was not told at check in. They shrugged and said he was on vacation the week prior and he only sees patients once a week. Note: after I complained about the wait, no less than 3 patients sitting in the waiting room said that an hour to 2 hours wait was about par. At 12:20 (one hour after my appt., the medical assist called my name and took vitals. In the examine room, 10 minutes later, the P.A. came in and introduced herself , re-read my file in form of me, went to find and look at the test results and said she woulf be right back. I then heard her with another patient in… the next examine room. Ten minutes later the doctor cam in. DID NOT introduce himself, went on to tell me that the test results were nothing to worry about that the ultrasound tech was overzealous and come back in 6 months. (Mind you my internal medicine Dr. and my hematologist and the radiologist all were very concerned)Dr. Harding did not want to entertain questions and seemed very very busy - referred me to his ENT Dr. Loper to follow up about the lump in my neck.NEVER EVER GO TO TO THIS DOCTOR UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAIT ENDLESSLY AND FEEL LIKE AN IMPOSITION IN THE DOCTOR'S DAY - there was no courtesy expended to me the patient...I have been treated with more respect at the McDonald's drive -thru - at least they apologize for a longer than expected wait.There are many many experienced vascular surgeons in Jacksonville - go to one of them.
